FMIS is a locally-owned and operated wireless internet provider serving the mountain communities of Frazier Park, Pine Mountain Club, Lockwood Valley, and surrounding communities. We will never sell, lease, rent, or transfer your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
1. Who We Are
FMIS operates as a wireless internet service provider in Mt. Pinos and surrounding mountain areas. Our website is www.frazmtn.com. We view our customers as neighbors, not as data sources.
2. Information We Collect
Account & contact information: Name, service address, billing address, phone, email, and securely processed payment information are gathered during signup.
Technical & network information: IP addresses assigned to your equipment, MAC addresses, network performance data, bandwidth usage statistics, and support ticket history are collected for service provisioning and network management.
Website usage: Your browser type and operating system, pages visited, and referring URLs are collected automatically. We do not employ third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking cookies.
Information we do not collect: FMIS does not collect, monitor, or store internet traffic content, browsing history, email content, or social media activity.
3. How We Use Your Information
Data usage is limited to service provisioning, billing, customer support, network diagnostics, service communications, and legal compliance. We do not use your data for targeted advertising, behavioral profiling, or AI model training.
4. How Your Data Is Stored
All customer data is stored exclusively on FMIS-owned and FMIS-controlled servers. We maintain access controls, multifactor authentication, encrypted sensitive records, regular security audits, and secure equipment disposal procedures.
5. We Will Never Sell Your Data
FMIS will NEVER sell, rent, lease, license, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for any commercial purpose. Limited exceptions exist only for payment processors (under contractual restrictions), legally mandated disclosures via court order or subpoena (with notification where permitted), and emergency situations involving imminent harm.
6. Your Privacy Rights Under California Law
Right to know: You may request disclosure of collected personal information, including data categories and usage purposes.
Right to deletion: Upon your written request, FMIS will purge all personal information associated with your account from our databases within 45 days (extendable to 90 days with notification).
Right to correct: Inaccurate information can be corrected upon verification.
Right to opt-out: You may opt out of data sales or sharing, though FMIS doesn't engage in these practices anyway.
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
How to submit privacy requests: Contact us via email (support@frazmtn.net), phone, or mail to Pine Mountain Club, CA. Identity verification is required; authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of customers.
7. Data Retention
Active account records are retained throughout the service relationship. Billing records are kept for 7 years per California tax law. Support tickets are retained for 3 years after account closure. Network logs rotate on a 90-day basis. Upon account closure, non-legally-required data is deleted within 90 days.
8. Data Security
We maintain restricted physical access, encryption for sensitive data, regular security patching, employee training, and incident response procedures. Data breach notification follows California law requirements, typically within 72 hours of discovery.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 and will delete such data immediately upon notification.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Updates will be posted with new effective dates, communicated to active customers via email for material changes, and made available in version history upon request.
